The following three paintings were done under the supervision of the wonderful artist, Richard McKinley. They were executed with an underpainting of watercolor and then the pastel on top of that. He gave each of us so much attention and encouragement. We had a wonderful week working out in the desert; we even encountered two rattle snakes and a jumping cholla which was imbedded in my arm. Now I hope to continue with the enthusiasm of the week.

Hooray! I am glad I got to see these. They look lovely and I can see you had a wonderful painting experience. Makes me wish I was there; well, maybe except for the rattlesnakes and cholla! You can keep both of those.
