Barbara paints primarily from reference photos which she, her husband and friends have taken. Her focus when approaching a new painting is to capture the mood which inspired the photo or still life set up in her studio.

This is #3 in the series of Agave paintings in pastel. Some bad news. The plant that I am painting is growing the center spike which means it is on its way out. It gave us much pleasure.
#3is my fav so far. May your agave go in peace! Be sure to take photos of the flower stock to complete this series!
