Barbara paints primarily from reference photos which she, her husband and friends have taken. Her focus when approaching a new painting is to capture the mood which inspired the photo or still life set up in her studio.

This beautiful window was captured in Positano on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We wanted to park our bodies there and stay.
This turned out just lovely! I especially like your treatment of the Bougainvilla. Great shadows.
