Barbara paints primarily from reference photos which she, her husband and friends have taken. Her focus when approaching a new painting is to capture the mood which inspired the photo or still life set up in her studio.

Yesterday, at the AAA Art show in Fountain Hills, Karen Budan, Liz Kenyon, and I did a paintaround. Here you see us (Karen is hidden) beginning work on our own paintins with reference photos we took in Italy. We are the Tuscan Trio.
