Barbara paints primarily from reference photos which she, her husband and friends have taken. Her focus when approaching a new painting is to capture the mood which inspired the photo or still life set up in her studio.

Painting in Bagno Vignoni, Italy
This is painting in Bagno Vignoni, Italy. It was raining so we took cover. I met some nice watercolor painters from England as I painted.
