Barbara paints primarily from reference photos which she, her husband and friends have taken. Her focus when approaching a new painting is to capture the mood which inspired the photo or still life set up in her studio.

I "think" this is the final of Jim's painting; however, I have sent a copy to his wife; we all went to high school together and are very close. She/He will know if they like it.
I love how this finished up! It looks like at the very end of painting this you added the light and life. I know that was happening all along as you painted, but it all came together in this final version and it all works so well. Nice job, and I am sure the person you painted it for will be thrilled.
